Do you love me?

The following is the purely scriptural text - which support
the Catholic Sacrament of Holy Communion.

"Blessed are you who believed
that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."

"For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him."

(John 6: 55-56)

"Does this shock you?"

"What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail.
The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe."

Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe
and the one who would betray him. And he said,
"For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me
unless it is granted by my Father."

As a result of this, many [of] his disciples
returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.
Jesus then said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?"
Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life.
We have come to believe and are convinced
that you are the Holy One of God."
(John 6:61-69)

Just as you know not how the breath of life
fashions the human frame in the mother's womb,
So you know not the work of God
which he is accomplishing in the universe.

But for the sake of peace and the desire for greater unity among her Catholic members (in imitation of His Holiness Pope John Paul II) this webmaster wishes to clarify for our readers that the Orthodox Churches - although separated from us by unfortunate divisions - yet possess the true sacraments and above all share by apostolic succession, the priesthood and the Eucharist, whereby they are linked with us in closest intimacy.

'Mother of the Word Incarnate, Pray for us.'

We would be also negligent if we failed to make mention of how vitally important and relevant the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus is for us today. And how the great love and indebtedness the Church feels for the Great Mother of Our Lord - a feeling likewise shared by all the members of the Christ's church. She, who by her perfect life of charity, humility and suffering, reflected most beautifully the tender love of The Sacred Heart of her Divine Son Jesus. She who by her 'fiat' enabled the Son of Man to enter into the world. Has become for us our hope and security - for by her powerful intercession she obtains for her children great mercy and favor from God as she draws from the depths of His Mercy - as one draws water from a well. And who by her perfect unity to God's Will - even accepting the horrific death of her beloved son - cooperated intimately in the salvific effects of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus thus partaking in the saving grace of the human race - and of which we are all called to imitate.

Jesus chose to come into this world through Mary,
and it is through Mary, that we may always come to find Jesus.

'And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.'

It was St. Peter Julian Eymard who said,

�It was Mary who first adored the Incarnate Word. He was in her womb, and no one on earth knew of it. Oh! how well was our LORD served in Mary's virginal womb! Never has He found a ciborium, a golden vase more precious or purer than was Mary's womb! Mary's adoration was more pleasing to Him than that of all the Angels. The LORD �hath set His tabernacle in the sun,� says the Psalmist. The sun is Mary�s heart,� and �Mary is the aurora of the beautiful Sun of Justice.�

And as Mary said of herself,

"My soul doth magnify the Lord; And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my savior. Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid;
For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; and holy is his name. And his mercy is from generation unto generations, to them that fear him."(Luke 1:45-47)

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

St. Paul's letter to the Corinthians:

In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying,
"This cup is the new covenant in my blood:
this do ye, as often as you shall drink,
for the commemoration of me.
For as often as you shall eat this bread,
and drink the chalice, you shall shew
the death of the LORD, until he come."

Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread,
or drink the chalice of the LORD unworthily,
shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the LORD.
But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread,
and drink of the chalice. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgement to himself,
not discerning the body of the LORD."

The chalice of benediction and the bread which we break: the body of the Lord.

The chalice of benediction, which we bless,
is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?
And the bread, which we break,

One Hour Spent with Jesus...

     Because St. Martin [de Porres] was black and illegitimate he was insulted and mistreated. He identified with Jesus, ignored and mistreated in the Blessed Sacrament. As they consoled each other, Martin became more charitable, not hostile, better not bitter. He would spend as many as eight hours each day in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
    "This so pleased Jesus that he made Martin a miracle worker. He would take a basket of fresh bread from the monastery and go out into the streets to feed the poor. With a single basket of bread he would feed an entire barrio.
    "Martin fed hundreds of starving people with a single basket of bread. You, dear Thomas, save hundreds of people from hell with a single holy hour of prayer in the Presence of the Living Bread come down from Heaven."
